Continuously Operating Reference Stations (CORS) of SatRef


There are 19 CORS in Hong Kong. Ten stations are built at hilltop with a 5m high pillar and fenced to avoid disturbance. The other nine stations are installed on building rooftop. The separation of the reference stations is about 10 to 15km. This is to provide at least two stations within 10km for users in most of the area in Hong Kong.

The ten hilltop stations are Kam Tin Station (HKKT), Lam Tei Station (HKLT), Mui Wo Station (HKMW), Ngong Ping Station (HKNP), Obelisk Hill Station (HKOH), Siu Lang Shui Station (HKSL), Shap Sze Heung Station (HKSS), Sha Tin Station (HKST), Tate's Cairn Station (TCHK) and Wong Shek Station (HKWS).

Rooftop SatRef Stations

The nine rooftop stations are T430 Station (T430), Fanling Station (HKFN), Quarry Bay Station (HKQT), Chek Lap Kok Station (HKCL), Stonecutters Island Station (HKSC), Peng Chau Station (HKPC), Sha Tau Kok Station (HKTK), Kau Sai Chau Station (HKKS) and Lamma Island Station (HKLM).
