The "SatRef GNSS Real Time Raw Data Streams" is now accessible on Open Data Portal (Open Data) starting on 20 March 2017. The GNSS Real Time Raw Data Streams are then instantaneously disseminated via DATA.GOV.HK. The connection settings and technical information for access to the Data Streams is available at: https://data.gov.hk/en-data/dataset/hk-landsd-openmap-satref-raw-data-rtcm

The provision of SatRef Real-time GNSS Data as Open Data would unlock the potential of the Positioning Infrastructure. Open Data users can access SatRef GNSS Real-time Raw Data Streams for free commercial and non-commercial reuse, for the development of innovative applications and value-added location based services using GNSS data.

The SatRef plays an important role in maintaining an accurate and consistent spatial reference framework for Hong Kong, and connect to the global coordinate reference system. It is fundamental for all spatial data and positioning applications and information exchange, and support the development of the Common Spatial Data Infrastructure (CSDI) and the Smart City.
